October is a great season in Japan because it is not that hot like summer.

There are many interesting events happening in Tokyo!

I’m going to introduce events in this post.

What is Moon-Viewing Thieves in Japan? → What is Otsumiki Dorobo?

When do the Japanese celebrate Moon Festival? → When is Otsukimi Moon Festival in Japan?

Otsukimi Stairs Walk (Moon Festival Event) at Tokyo Tower

On October 4th (Wed) you can enjoy night view while going up Tokyo Tower.

This is a special event for Otsukimi or moon viewing.

Usually you can take stairs to go up to the Main Observatory during weekend and they don’t open stairs for public at night.

However, Otsukimi Stairs Walk makes you possible to take stairs and go up during nighttime.

It opens between 5p.m. and 10p.m.

There are 600 steps and you would see Ostukimi items, such as Susuki grass and Dango (dumpling), at the middle point.

600 sounds a lot but you can take your time, take pictures and enjoy the view.

I’ve tried to go up by stairs when I was a kid.

It was windy but very fun!

If I were in Tokyo, I would definitely try to go on Otsukimi Stairs Walk day.
