Osaka Castle

Osaka Castle is probably one of the most popular Ohanami destinations in Osaka.

There are more than 3,000 cherry blossoms.

The admission fee is 200 yen but during Ohanami season, which is the beginning of April, it will be 350 yen.

There will be food stand and vending machine inside the park so that you can get some snacks.

There are parking spots and it’s 350 yen for one hour.

No BB allowed.

– Get off at JR Osaka Castle Park Station

Expo ’70 Commemoration Park

Built for Japan World Exposition 1970, this park offers various facilities.

There are over 5,500 cherry blossoms inside the park and many tourists visit here during Ohanami season.

It’s also interesting to see the Tower of the Sun and other monument for the World Exposition.

There are lots of parking spots but weekend is crowded. Check Here before heading.

Access:

Take Monorail to Bankoku Park (Expo Park) or Koen Higashi-guchi (Park East Exit) Station from stations below.

– Minami-ibaraki Station, Yamada Station, Hotarugaike Station for Hankyu Line

– Senri-Chuo Station for Midosuji Line

– Dainishi Station for Tanimachi Line

– Kadomashi Station for Keihan Line

Take the Osaka monorail from Osaka Airport Station if you take an airplane.

Japan Mint at Osaka (Botanical Garden)

This Mint is usually not accessible because it coins money. During Ohanami season, however, people can pass by and enjoy beautiful Sakura.

People are to pass by and not to stay at the site. It’s definitely one of the popular cherry blossom destinations for local people.

It opens between April 11^th and April 17^th, 10a.m.-9p.m.

It’s better to visit during weekday as weekend is packed.

No pet, food, alcohol, bikes or smoking is allowed.

No parking is available so take public transportation.

– Get off at Tenman Bridge Station for Tanimachi Line or Keihan Line and walk 15 minutes

Settsukyo Park

Located in Takatsuki city, this park has more than 3,000 cherry blossom trees.

One can also camp and hike inside the park.

Its Sakura Festival is taken place between March 25^th and April 9^th . You can enjoy illumination until 9p.m. during this period of time.

Food stands are on site on April 1^st and 2^nd only.

Satsukiyama Park

This park is popular destination for couples and family.

There are trails, Botanical Garden and small zoo inside the park. It’s so popular because you pay zero admission fee. Those close at 5p.m. and Tuesdays.

You can access to park itself 24/7.

There is a parking lot if you drive a car.

Hours: 9a.m. to 5p.m. but park itself opens 24/7
