How to Get Tickets for Tokyo Skytree, the Tallest Tower in the World

Have you been to Tokyo Skytree?

It’s located in Sumida ward, Tokyo.

It’s the tallest tower in the world and its height is 635 metres.

 

 

Tokyo Tower was surrounded by tall buildings and it became difficult to manage broadcasting system.

As a result, Tokyo Skytree was completed in 2012 to improve broadcasting system in Kanto area.

 

It opens between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.

 

Two Kinds of Tickets

 

If you go to Tokyo Skytree, you must go up to Observatories.

There are Tembo Galleria (450m) and Tembo Deck (350m) and you need 2 tickets to go both.

 

You might want to get tickets for Tembo Deck in advance to avoid long waiting time.

You can purchase tickets in advance online or from seven-eleven.

 

You need to pick date and time and it would be fixed.

If you need to change date or time, you need to cancel first and purchase tickets for new date and time.

 

Tikctes for Tembo Galleria, however, is only available at the ticket centre on the Tembo Deck.

Tickets with Fixed Date (from seven-eleven or online)

Adult (over 18 years old) 2,570 yen

Teens (12-17 years old) 2,060 yen

Children (6-11 years old) 1,440 yen

Children (4-5 years old) 1,130 yen

 

Regular Tickets (same-day tickets)

Adult (over 18 years old) 2,060 yen

Teens (12-17 years old) 1,540 yen

Children (6-11 years old) 930 yen

Children (4-5 years old) 620 yen

 

 

Tembo Galleria

 

Adult (over 18 years old) 1,030 yen

Teens (12-17 years old) 820 yen

Children (6-11 years old) 510 yen

Children (4-5 years old) 310 yen

 

When it’s crowded, Skytree employees must organize and restrict the number of the customers who come to the observatories.

Thus you might have to wait if you only have regular tickets.

 

If you have purchased tickets online or from seven-eleven, you won’t wait like other regular ticket holders, and you can save time (e.g., waiting time on weekend could be 1 hour).

It is totally up to you which tickets to purchase.
