Located in Nikko City (日光市), this place offers you old Japanese era “EDO” (江戸).
Disguise as a Ninja
You would see Samurai and women wearing traditional Kimono in this Wonderland.
If you like, you can also be one of them!
For instance, men can rent costumes for Samurai or Japanese Lord (殿様), while women can rent costumes for princess or police officer etc…
Children can choose from Ninja, lord, and samurai etc…
It’s worth to rent because you cannot experience Edo period in other places.
Learn Traditional Japanese Culture
They also offer trials including Samurai and Kyudou (弓道: Japanese archery).
You will be taught the spirit of Samurai and how to play Kyudou.
There are other attractions such as a jail, maze, Ninja house and temple.
In addition, shows are taken place everyday. Check schedule and see them all!
I would definitely see a Ninja show and Oiran Courtesan Procession show.
2. Kegon Falls (華厳の滝)

If you take an elevator, you would see the waterfall very closely.
You can visit anytime, but avoid when it’s foggy.
Some also say that going there in the morning is the best as not many people visit in the morning.

Try this giant maze in Nikko City (日光市).
This maze is huge and designed well so that even adults can enjoy.
You are to collect 4 stamps.
They have several exits so if you want to give up or if you feel tired to complete your mission, you can step out anytime.
It usually takes 40 minutes to finish.
A bottle of juice would be offered you if you finish within 20 minutes.
Some people go there and divide themselves into groups and compete the time.
4. Nikko Tousyou-guu (日光東照宮)

This is a famous place in Japan because it is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is mixture of shirine and temple.
Its history is long and was built in 1617 after death of Tokugawa Ieyasu (徳川家康).
Some couples have wedding ceremonies in here.
